ATI PN Comprehensive Predictor 2023 Exam

General Information

Licensed Practical Nurses who are seeking advanced placement into the Associate Degree Nursing Program at SCC, must meet the minimum probability score requirements on the ATI PN Comprehensive Predictor. Students must make a minimum probability of passing the PN NCLEX score of 90% on the predictor to be eligible for the LPN to ADN Advanced Placement Program or a minimum score of 94% for the LPN to ADN Online Program.

The ATI PN Comprehensive Predictor 2023 is a 4-hour, 180 item, proctored test to assess your comprehension and mastery of basic principles including fundamentals of nursing, pharmacology, adult medical surgical nursing, maternal newborn care, mental health nursing, nursing care of children, nutrition, and management.

Testing Policies

– The ATI PN Comprehensive Predictor 2023 exam is offered at SCC or it can be taken online via a remote proctor.

– SCC only accepts exams administered by a proctor.

– Students are allowed three attempts to test per academic year, regardless of location.

– Scores are acceptable for a period of three years.

When To Test

– Testing will begin in the fall semester and will end by January 31st of each academic year. The college reserves the right to extend testing after January 31st.

– Be sure you meet the respective program requirements before registering for the exam. Visit the LPN to ADN Advanced Placement Program webpage and LPN to ADN Online Option Program for specific requirements.

Exam Costs

Exam costs are determined by ATI and are paid directly to ATI, not SCC. The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Prices are subject to change without notice.

– In-Person Exam with SCC Proctor is $75
– Online Exam with ATI Remote Proctor is $79

Register

1. Complete the ATI PN Comprehensive Predictor 2023 Registration Form at least ONE WEEK prior to the exam date or option of your choice. Our testing center has limited seating, so priority is given on a first-come, first-serve basis. You will be notified by email if the test date you have selected is full.

2. Following registration, you will receive an email confirming the exam date and instructions on how to purchase the exam. The exam must be purchased by the deadline provided in the confirmation email. Failure to pay by the deadline may result in cancellation of your registration.

3. Once you receive your email confirmation, carefully read the instructions. You will be instructed to create an ATI (Assessment Technologies Institute) student account at www.atitesting.com in order to purchase the exam. ATI student accounts are FREE.  If you already have an ATI student account, use your existing credentials to log in.

Prepare for the ATI TEAS

There is no specific review guide for the ATI PN Comprehensive Predictor; however, preparation through the use of LPN course books and NCLEX-PN study guides are recommended. Here are a few resources recommended by ATI:

SCC normally offers a review course in the fall semester to prepare for the exam. Information will be provided for the review course as the dates are determined.

What To Expect On Test Day

– Plan on 4 hours maximum to complete your exam.

– A four-function calculator (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) is built into the exam, however; the proctor will also provide a four-function calculator if you are taking the exam in-person.

– You will need to have a physical copy of your government-issued ID (e.g., a current and valid U.S. Passport, Driver’s License, or State ID Card) present and available at the time of testing (including remote and in-person testing).  Please note: a credit card photo, temporary license, or student ID do not meet these criteria

– All personal belongings must be stored out of reach.  This includes coats, jackets, hats and sunglasses, with discretionary allowances for religious apparel. Students are not allowed to have any other personal materials at their testing station.

– If you are taking the exam in-person, pencils and scratch paper will be provided by the testing proctor.  You are not allowed to use your own scratch paper.  All scratch paper will be collected and destroyed after testing.

– No personal electronic devices of any kind are allowed during testing.  This includes, but is not limited to cell phones, smart watches, smart eyewear, and personal calculators.

– Food and drink, unless predetermined as medically necessary, are not allowed in the testing room.

– If you are taking the exam in-person, ear plugs will be provided by the proctor before testing begins.

– Once you have finished your exam, you are free to leave the testing room.

Obtaining Your Exam Results

Post-completion of your exam, your test results will be made available to you online through your free ATI account after all exams have been completed for that specific testing day.  The test proctor will not provide you with a copy of your results. Printing is available to SCC students in the Learning Resource Center located in Kitchin Hall.

1. Log into your ATI Account at atitesing.com
2. Under Main Menu, select the “My Result” tab at the top of your account
3. Click on the name of the test you wish to print
4. Click “Download Report”
5. Print the PDF report

Next Steps

1. Download your exam results from www.atitesting.com.

2. Complete the program application you are interested in:  LPN to ADN Advanced Placement Program or LPN to ADN Online Program by January 31st.  Be sure to attach your exam results to the application.
