EMS Certifications

Overview

At Sampson Community College (SCC), programs are offered with certifications that are under the track of the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services (NCOEMS). These certifications at SCC are available through Scantron, a services, and technology-driven, global testing company. Each exam currently costs $68.00. Certifications offered at SCC through Scantron testing are as follows:

  • Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
  • Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT)
  • Paramedic
