The Human Services Technology program helps prepare students for careers in the social, community, and educational services. This program is specifically for those that want to participate in the human services field. Those that graduate from this program will be able to work in agencies that are in the human services field, such as in the family services or social services field.

The Department Chair of Human Services Technology, Billy Kennedy shared, “Jackson is a caring and compassionate student who seeks to understand others. He listens intently and has a desire to help. In addition to seeking an Associate Degree in General Education, he added an Associate in Human Services Technology because of his desire to become a therapist. Jackson thinks analytically and he has a natural ability to develop solutions to problems. His abilities and his empathy for others will significantly impact the lives of those he serves in the future. “
Jackson West has a great future at Sampson Community College and beyond. Jackson hopes to transfer to continue his education.
