Overview
The Medical Terminology course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the language used in the healthcare field. This course focuses on the structure of medical terms, including prefixes, suffixes, and root words, and their application to the body’s systems, diseases, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
Emphasis is placed on accurate pronunciation, spelling, and usage of medical vocabulary in both written and oral communication. This course is essential for students pursuing careers in health care or related fields.
This is a prerequisite for Surgical Technologist, Central Sterile Processing, Electronic Health Records and Medical Administrative Assistant.
