[Clinton, N.C.]– Sampson Community College (SCC) is grateful to welcome a record number of students this Spring, marking the largest enrollment growth in the College’s history. Over 1,700 students began classes in January, reflecting the trust placed in SCC by students, families, and the community, as the College remains deeply committed to serving them.

“We are truly honored that so many students have chosen SCC as part of their educational journey,” said Dr. Bill Starling, President of SCC. “This growth is not just about numbers—it’s about people taking steps toward a better future, and we’re thankful to play a role in that.”

SCC attributes this increase to the dedication of its faculty and staff, the strength of community partnerships, and a shared effort to make education accessible and meaningful. Through close collaboration with local businesses and industry leaders, SCC continues to develop programs that align with workforce needs, ensuring students graduate with skills that benefit both themselves and the broader community.

Begin Here, Go Anywhere! Sampson Community College is celebrating record-breaking enrollment this spring, reflecting the college’s commitment to student success and workforce development in partnership with the local community.

From healthcare and agriculture to truck driving and trades, SCC remains focused on preparing students for high-demand careers that support the region’s economic growth.

While this milestone is exciting, SCC remains focused on its mission: ‘Begin Here, Go Anywhere.’ The College extends its heartfelt thanks to the students, faculty, staff, and community members who make this work possible. By working together, SCC and its partners are creating opportunities that not only change individual lives but strengthen the entire community.
