Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, implementation, and management of financial aid programs, policies, and procedures.
- Provide leadership and ensure efficient operations and effective service delivery.
- Advise students and families on financial aid options, including scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study programs.
- Conduct financial aid presentations and workshops, along with the Director of Financial Aid, for prospective and current students.
- Review and analyze financial aid applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations and policies.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Admissions, Registrar, and Student Services) to streamline processes and improve student experiences.
- Assist in the development of financial aid marketing materials and communications.
- Oversee the financial aid awarding process and participate in the reconciliation of federal and state funds.
- Address and resolve student inquiries and concerns related to financial aid.
- Provide assistance and support during registrations, orientations and graduation ceremonies.
- Duties may occasionally require evening availability.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, education, or a related field.
- Experience in financial aid or related areas, preferably in higher education.
- Knowledge of enrollment management principles.
