At Sampson Community College, the Nursing programs and success are synonymous. The latest news for the Practical Nursing Class of 2019 is that it has achieved a 100% passing rate on its licensure exams.

The exams are required and administered by the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN) by individual State Boards of Nursing. The NCLEX-PN is often referred to as “The Boards” or “State Boards.” The NCLEX-PN has only one purpose: To determine if it is safe for you to begin practice as an entry-level practical/vocational nurse.

“Of course, we are excited by this,” says Dr. Veronica Stevens, Division Chair of Health Programs at Sampson Community College. “Though we are no stranger to having these students represent us well when it comes to the exams, it is more exciting for us to see that they are on their way to successful careers as a result.”
