Testing Proctor

Duties & Responsibilities

Sampson Community College is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a part-time Testing/Proctor. This role involves administering and monitoring a variety of exams, including placement tests, certification exams, and make-up tests, in a secure and professional testing environment.

  • Verify student identities and ensure compliance with testing policies.
  • Explain test instructions clearly and maintain test security at all times.
  • Monitor test-takers to ensure adherence to testing rules and regulations.
  • Document incidents or irregularities during testing sessions.
  • Participate in professional development training to stay updated on best practices in testing administration.
  • Utilize computer software programs critical to testing administration and data management effectively.

Minimum Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • The ability to enforce rules consistently and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency with computer software relevant to testing and data management.
  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
  • Prior experience in education or testing environments (preferred).

This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of the testing process while supporting student success at Sampson Community College.
