Notary Public Instructor – Online

Duties & Responsibilities

The purpose of this position is to facilitate online Notary Public Education classes as part of the Workforce Development and Continuing Education department

  • Update and teach courses utilizing current outline and materials.
  • Assist with course revisions if warrant revisions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.
  • Work cooperatively with staff.

Note: Course materials and outline have been entered into our LMS system.

Minimum Requirements

Licensing Requirements:
  • Current North Carolina Notary Commission
  • North Carolina Secretary of State Notary Instructor Certification.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma, Associate Degree or higher.
  • Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Notary Public.
  • Teaching Experience: Prior instructional experience in both in-person (face-to-face) online learning management system (LMS) formats.  However, training may be provided for the right candidate.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of notary laws, regulations, and procedures.

  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
  • Patience and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing student needs.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
