Duties & Responsibilities
- Instruct students in the safe and effective operation of various heavy equipment, including but not limited to mini excavators, bulldozer, loaders and backhoes.
- Deliver hands-on training sessions, ensuring students gain practical experience.
- Provide classroom instruction on safety protocols, equipment maintenance, and operational techniques.
- Evaluate student performance through practical assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Assist in updating and maintaining materials to reflect current industry standards and best practices.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or industrial setting.
- Previous teaching or training experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in teaching real estate courses with proven passing rates on the North Carolina Real Estate Exam.
- Strong knowledge of equipment safety procedures and industry regulations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to students of varying skill levels.
- Patience, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Certification in heavy equipment operation or instruction are a plus
